Introductory Motorcycle Experience (IME)

Wondering if you are really ready to enroll in the standard Basic Rider Course? Not sure if riding a motorcycle is for you? Never been on a motorcycle before? Unsure if you are ready to begin riding your own motorcycle? Nervous about taking your first riding "steps" in front of a large class? If any of these describe the way that you feel, our "Intro" course is just what you need!


Only 2 hours Long. Class points out the primary parts and controls of a motorcycle. Basic familiarization points out the primary parts and controls of a motorcycle. No formal classroom time; Very, very, small classes. No big hurdles or complex skills. Student is given the option to manipulate the controls while astride a motorcycle. Course contains a self-assessment component to ensure a person is aware of the risks and requirements for being a good, safe and responsible rider.

For the Pure Novice: A taste of riding... without a big investment of time or money. Find out if riding is for you, and if you have the basic skills needed to be prepared for the full BRC.


Students must come to the class properly prepared to ride with long sleeved shirt or jacket, long pants, over the ankle footwear, full fingered gloves, eye protection, and DOT approved helmet. Arkansas Safe Rider has a limited number of " loaner" helmets, gloves and eye protection.
